2004
Her – I may be in love, I’m not sure
Good god girl you break me up inside,
Knowing me in ways that makes me want to hide,
Putting you in pictures,
Just inside my head,
Can’t take the drawn on memories,
Of some things that are just unsaid.
Can’t hide the way I feel,
Or the way you light me up,
Can’t show you want you want to see,
Or write you words inside a certain kind of fluff.
Hearing you in music,
Seeing you in books,
Don’t understand why I’m compelled,
To tell you the way my world looks.
Want to write you stories,
Of the way my day goes,
Of the way my world affects me,
Of what beautiful things can grow.
Want to introduce you,
To the things inside my head,
To the memories I hold there,
And even those things I dread,
Want to send you flowers,
So there is always something lovely in your world,
Want to call you,
Just to hear your voice,
To hear the sound of someone,
Who knows exactly what I’m worth.
Scared to know you too much,
Scared not to know you at all,
Wanting things I just can’t have,
But waiting for a sign,
A sign that you get me,
Without boundaries,
Or rules.
Needing you to know,
That though I get you too,
I’m still only searching,
For something I can cling to,
And for something that is true.

This is a most heartfelt and touching poem. I absolutely give you hugs for it. It is ever so suttle but gets to the point. May I use it and give you credit?
