The Thing about Lesbians is……

Please bear with me, so much is in my head, I don’t have a lot

of organization yet. I just have to get some of it out…a beginning

if you will.

We were discriminated against in the past

because women were needed to fullfill certain roles

to ensure survival of the human race. We were the ones

that gave birth, therefore, were automatically assigned the

roles of mother, nurturer, cook, etc. while the Man did all

the manly things. These roles and patriarchal attitudes

have come down through the ages and with it prejudice

against the women that no longer fit these roles. And frankly,

a lot of us are just sick and tired of expectations that have

nothing to do with our needs and desires. Unfortunately, men

rather like the hierarchy that has been created and have not

found the need to change or to accept changes. The hardest part

for me was being brainwashed as a kid and always trying to fit

in. But as long as I can remember I always had crushes on women.

I suppressed this (unconsciously) since it was unacceptable and

not tolerated as it is now. So, yes I did get married and had children

(which I always knew I wanted). Going to college later in life, I was

able to look around me and see changes in lifestyles and attitudes.

And beautiful women everywhere. My first relationship with a woman

rocked my world. We explored together for 7 years. To have someone

adore you as you do them is life altering. I can never go back. But now

I have to figure out how to move forward as a single woman starting

over, in a small town, until I can afford to move. God I am so alone.

So the thing about lesbians is….when you find someone who

rocks your world you can never go back.

Lesbian Quotes

The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn’t mean that God doesn’t love heterosexuals. It’s just that they need more supervision. — Lynn Lavner
