Some links on lesbian health
LHRC - LHRC is located within the Institute for Health & Aging (IHA), School of Nursing, University of California,San Francisco, and advances directly the Institute’s goals of serving women across the lifespan, and of providing research data for making public policy decisions, improving public education, and facilitating community interventions. LHRC is also affiliated with the UCSF National Center of Excellence (CoE) in Women’s Health and is a collaborative partner of the UCSF Center for Gender Equity (CGE).
LHF - Since 1992, LHF has granted nearly one half million dollars for important studies needed by health care providers to address the health concerns of their lesbian patients.
GLMA - GLMA works to ensure equality in health care for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals and health care professionals. GLMA achieves its goals by using medical expertise in professional education, public policy work, patient education and referrals, and the promotion of research.
