How I celebrate the holidays
Happy Holidays to all!!! In my family we always spend the holidays together, beginning with Thanksgiving at moms house. Traditionally we all prepare part of the dinner and bring it to moms, there is always at least on friend of whomever that is invited to come enjoy some laughs, conversion, and good food. It is always someone who either doesn’t have a family of their own or wasn’t planning on having a or couldn’t have a Thanksgiving dinner to enjoy. Having that special person or persons their with us at moms is one of the highlights of Thanksgiving and truly a blessing for us. We normally get their early evening and being that I have a big family it can be overwhelming to the newcomer to watch us interact with each other. We laugh, joke reminisce and thank God for bringing us all together again. Right before we eat, we all join hands around the table and the designated person says the prayer before we munch!!! Christmas is at my sister’s house and we always have a theme, my mom would inform the person who will pick the theme in advance and at the Thanksgiving dinner they announce it. We have done it all form a pajama party Christmas, to a talent show, to a luau, to a represent a country, to a dress as a villain or hero and so on. This year we are having a Mardi gras to remember New Orleans and the people affected by Hurricane Katrina. We will recreate bourbon St. and the wild dressing and parties they are known for having. The holidays are for giving as much as it is for receiving and we always try to have a fundraiser of some type to help out the needy. I would like to wish everyone a Happy and safe Holidays here at TLL and wish everyone all the happiness and and much love. Feliz Navidad!!!!!!!!!
