She wanted to fix me and gave me scripture and it was twelve kinds of painful. Now, years later, when we're not 19 anymore, she's still straight and I'm still bi and we're both still Muslim, and we're still best friends. I find that with people who love you, it works out. It's not a universal thing, of course, but it's a rule of thumb. And also, there are some people who move on from where they are and others who never will, and it becomes obvious pretty quickly which ones are which. <br/><br/>Good luck with your friend.
