FEBRUARY OPINIONS

february-opinions

2. Where do you get your information on politics. What issues are most important to you?

I get my info on politics from MANY sources…. which is the way to go, if you ask me… you get many different standpoints and can break it down to what YOU think really happened…

Issues that are important to me??? Well, obviously gay marriage… Because I AM gay … but it’s not even BECAUSE I’m gay. It’s because I’m human. It’s because I know what is right. If I happened to be straight, I would still know that it was inhumane to tell others who can/cannot marry who. It’s wrong, and injust. It’s actually against our first amendment, as everyone knows… But it’s also against the fact that we obviously canNOT pursue happiness if we are not allowed to love.

Another cause I am for is Pro-Life… Yes, I am a woman who is Anti-Abortion. And also a liberal. But I love children and I truly believe that life is life… And you cannot murder without consequences.

However, I believe there is many exceptions.. If a woman is unable to give birth because of health or other issues, than I think abortion is still sort of ok.

As for rape… I know a woman who has been raped and, when confronted with a possible pregnancy, she decided against abortion.

However, I understand certain cases where abortion is necessary, because there are always exceptions to EVERYTHING…

But as for me, I do not believe in it. As a victim of abuse MYSELF, I still wouldn’t get an abortion…

Because out of a horrible situation such as rape, there is a light. Which is the child that you can love and teach not to follow in the rapists footsteps. It is a way to give your views to a new child who can bring new light to the world… And show the world a way to love.

Love is amazing. And I know this.

Adoption is also a great alternative, so if ever in doubt over if you are able to take care of the child… Give the blessing to someone in need of that.

Thank you for listening to my opinions. I hope you have a good day.

Dear A.T.,
I would like to remove the word “victim” from our vocabulary. You are a SURVIVOR!
