Here’s a mostly harmless observation for you: Women are sexy. It doesn’t matter what shape, size, age or colour they may be. They’re beautiful. Even when you’re not immediately attracted to a woman, if you stare at her long enough (not so long that she thinks you’re a stalker) you’ll find something alluring about her.

There’s really only one thing that can make a woman profoundly ugly, and that’s her personality. It’s doesn’t matter how ravishing she may be, if she’s cruel, mean or selfish, these flaws will definitely affect how attractive she is. On the other hand, if a woman is sympathetic, kind and generous, these qualities will enhance her looks.

I’ve dated a handful of women over the past few years and none of them had much in common physically. However, they did share certain personality traits that always left my heart aflutter…and yes…laughing at my jokes was one of them.

Regardless of what gets your mojo a-go-go (feel free to use that expression on a regular basis), whether it’s an infectious laugh, a generous heart, or the ability to recite funny quotes from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (that’s never actually happened to me, but how I long for the day), we all have our list of what we’re looking for in a partner. Sure, some things change over the years, but I believe there are fundamental qualities that always remain, no matter how many women we date.

However, what does change is how we see ourselves. What makes us so appealing to others? If you’re a single gal at the moment, hell even if you’re not, take the time to write down what you think other people like about you, not to mention what you like about yourself. Whether it’s your physical attributes, your personality traits, or both, it’s good for the ego to be reminded about what makes us sexy.

I’ve discussed before how self-esteem issues can really affect a woman’s personality and behaviour…at least I think I have…just pretend I did if I didn’t. We have a tendency to focus so much on what we don’t like about ourselves, that we often forget just what does make us sexy, what does make us fun to be around, and why we deserve to have only the best in our relationships.

So…why not remind yourself? You don’t have to bring sexy back…it never really left.
