Me, my thoughts and rants from a Redneck state

me-my-thoughts-and-rants-from-a-redneck-state

Hello to all!  I ran across this web site and found it fun and informative so I thought I’d try my hand at writing about a variety of topics that we can all relate to as lesbians and women in general.

My partner and I recently moved to the mountain town of Hailey, Idaho which is located about 12 miles from Sun Valley.  A beautiful area with seasonal recreation, activities and community events galore.  We have been together for 12 years and are very out in our daily lives.  The problem-we come from a progressive state and have always shared health benefits, never noticed people staring or treating us differently.  This area is so backward in so many ways.  My point is this, we are far from being treated as equals on a national level.  I want to here from other women that face the same issues.

My goal is to network and eventually open a lesbian vacation spot here for single and committed lesbians.  Be patient as I build a profile and start posting articles, stories and more!

I’LL say that’s definitely red neck country! good luck in developing the area into a place that’s conducive to diversity! places like that just need time — but eventually, diversity conquers all. :)

Don’t worry you might not see us there but Hailey is one of my favorite places to vacation with my girlfriend we are going to be up there the last week of June.

I guess the vacation spot will definitely have to be “off the grid”.
Thanks for your comments. It’s nice to know that we arn’t alone.

Lesbian Quotes

Part of the lesbian consciousness is an absolute recognition of the erotic within our lives and, taking that a step further, dealing with the erotic not only in sexual terms. — Audre Lorde
