Hot:

I was recently contacted by Desaray from Dingmoonment: A Lesbian Wedding Blog. Dingmoonment is a blog about the engagement, wedding and honeymoon of two women in the District. It is strong enough for the community, but made for our moms. Desaray is looking for letters containing words of wisdom from the mothers and fathers of lesbian brides. Her request is below

Wanted: Calling all parents of married gay daughters! Is your daughter lesbian, bisexual, transgender or queer? Has she tied the knot? If so, you should send your two cents to Dingmoonment, a lesbian wedding blog! What thoughts, feelings or advice do you have for other parents now that you’ve taken the walk down the rainbow isle? Can you help other MOBs and FOBs make sense of girl/girl cake toppers, finding an officiant or suit shopping with a gay daughter? Titles might include: Tell Grandma Now!, The First Time I Met My Gay FDIL, Coming Out to Vendors or Loving Homophobic In-Laws. Your goal can be to educate, inspire, or calm. Your format can be poetry or prose, essay or invective, prayer or apology. Submit your 500-1500 word contribution, along with a photo of you and your daughter, to dingmoonment at yahoo dot com. There are no deadlines and no rejection slips!

Please share this on your blogs. If you think your parents would be interested in participating please send them the info and send their letters here.
