My personal aversion to "Bitch Slap" is the violence..... I assume the women were giving back what they had received from the man, but watching violence tells our brains that it is okay. It's not.

To the first commenter:

You know, I'm a feminist just like the rest of them...but sometimes hot chicks are hot chicks, you know?

Yes, it is a "straight man lesbian fantasy flick," but it's also MY fantasy flick...and I"m not a straight man. Men also likely watch the L word, Bound, and other videos that feature sex between women. I'm okay with that. I'm not ashamed to say the unspoken that sometimes, we have overlapping interests....I'll never be embarassed or hesitant to admit that I love my gf's wonderful body, as well as her stellar mind...does that make me a pig? Maybe...but I'm okay with that. I love her in a bikini, the smaller the better.

Is that "bad" to say? Should I say I don't care about her body? her breasts? or anything else I might name?

I think we have to be careful that we don't allow ourselves to be "unsexed" or embarassed by the fact that we're sexual beings...just because we are women. We're just like everyone else. We have needs, we get turned on, etc...are we afraid of that? I love it. But again, like Grace says in the original post, I'm the "wrong kind of lesbian." I'm the lesbian who acts and does what a lot of them would probably like to...and I embrace my sexuality.

My approach might not be everybody's approach and that's fine also. If you hate sex, don't have it. If you think films that show two women together are objectifying, don't watch them....but that's not me.

The moment we stop pursuing what we love because someone else also loves it, is the day we should just throw in the towel. Some men like to have sex with women...some women like to have sex with women...etc... When it's not "proper" or "right" for a lesbian to appreciate a woman's body, I say that there are a lot of things that we've gone through as women-loving creatures that many others would say are not "proper" or "right."

Like the fact that we love or have sex with women at all.

I hear you. I think sometimes I like to enjoy a guilty pleasure here and there. This right here is like me eating a pint of Hagen Daz.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('3048','goldstardyke','I hear you.
IMHO, it looks like a straight man's lesbian fantasy flick. If I want to look at a sexy woman with a gun, my wife used to be a Marine.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('3046','Dharma Kelleher','IMHO, it looks like a straight man\'s lesbian fantasy flick.
