I cannot be more happy than I am right now! I’m going back to Texas to live with my Mom and stepdad–back to my family, my friends, my house, room, and my school…
It’s never too late to start over, and that’s exactly what I’m doing.
I feel like I’ve been away from home for six months here in Chicago–my father and step mother feel more to me like roommates who happen to have twin boys running around the house than an actual family…kinda sad, really. But true. I’m happy that I came here, because I got to experience a freedom that my mother wouldn’t have let me have. Now, when I go back, I can make everything better; I’ll go to school, get as many scholarships as I can, study like crazy, and show my mom that I’m a responsible person.
I can do this now. I’ve been so far away from home, and I want to come back now…
Yesterday when I realized this, I cried so hard, and I couldn’t stop. I hadn’t cried that hard in I don’t know how long. I was actually wailing into my pillow. So, I called my Mom and told her. She told me to talk to Dad and Angela, and they all said that they support me, and want me to be happy.
So, I realized a lot of things. Like I really do have a family that loves me. And labeling myself this and that is limiting, and they’ll still love me for me–whatever that is!
