I decided to share my story on TLL awhile ago (which can be found here http://thelesbianlifestyle.com/2008/12/23/deep-breath/ if youre interested) and after writing, I think I checked it like once to read the comments… and then I just kind of pretended like I never wrote it because it just.. it was me. It was me putting myself out there and making myself extremely vulnerable. And even if it’s not people’s intentions, the things we say can be hurtful. But last night I went back and read the comments on my post, and I was, in all honesty, moved to tears by some of the things people said.
So here I am, just wanting to thank you (you know who you are) for your love and support. It really means a lot to me. Especially what one person said, it unnerved me a bit because I wasn’t expecting it to have such an effect on me, but it was EXACTLY what I needed to hear. Exactly. And she seemed to know that it was exactly what I needed to hear and that freaks me out a little bit –but in a good way.
So, thank you TLL.
I read your post but didn’t comment, but i’ll say now it was beautifully written and I skipped over it before reading it properly because I knew it was going to be one of those stories that tore me up. Thanks for sharing
