TLL Adult Review: Mia by LELO

I would like to thank Vibe Review for the chance to review the Mia vibe by LELO. The Mia is toted as LELO’s take on a pocket rocket, and it’s absolutely fantastic. This little vibe has soared to the top of the list as one of my favorite clitoral vibes ever, thus far. I like this better than I like the Lily, which I found hard to believe. The Mia offers a lot of precision due to it’s shape, as all of the vibration is focused at the tip. It’s a smooth hard plastic with silicone over the + and – buttons (that increase and decrease vibration respectively). It comes with a USB extension cable, so that you can charge it even if your USB port is not easily accessible. Oh, and it also comes in a really cute box.
Pros:

The vibrations are impressive, and it’s stronger than the Lily. I have never had a proper pocket rocket, so I can’t tell you how this adds up compared to one. It’s good, though. Definitely very good.
- It’s USB charged! This toy is so geeky, I love it! It looks like a flash drive. Well, maybe not to someone in the know, but to your average person, it looks like a really snazzy flash drive. And who’s gonna argue with you? It’s got a USB plug right on it!
- This works like the Lily does. Press the + button until it’s maxed out, and then press it again for 2 seconds to enter the vibration pattern modes. Press + to cycle through these modes, and – to go back to solid vibration. Press and hold both buttons to lock in the “off” position, so that it doesn’t buzz in your pants pocket/gym bag/purse/what have you.
Cons:
- I love this toy so much. That said, I have a very valid, somewhat large criticism of it, which makes me sad. If you’re using it and holding it by the cap (the angled end that says “LELO” on it) you’re likely to cause the cap to slide or fall off. This is annoying. You need to grip the silvery band part to avoid this. It takes a bit to get used to. I wish this had a screw top so that it closed securely. Then it would be perfect.
Regardless of the “con” this is still worth buying and owning. Ask yourself these questions. Are you looking for a good quality clit vibe that you can charge with your laptop, even while out in public? Do you like 1-year manufacturer warranties on your sex toys? Are you desperately looking for something to give your girlfriend for Valentine’s Day? Get the Mia. Do it now. This is a toy that anyone with a clit needs to own. I mean that sincerely.
Completely random as an aside:
- I MacGyver’d my Mia by making my own AC adapter. I have an iPhone, and have a charging adapter with a USB port on the plug, and you can plug the Mia right in to that USB port and plug the plug into an outlet. Not everyone would have this combo, but if you do, it’s pretty cool.
Usage Suggestion:
- This is a technique I discovered the other night. If you’re holding Mia in one hand with your labia spread open slightly with the fingers of the other, you can tap Mia lightly against the inner labia on either side of your clit, back and forth, at varying speeds. This is particularly nice with the Mia vibe, as I’ve said before it has a very high degree of precision, and this move gets pretty intense very fast, for me at least, and is a nice way to mix things up from more direct clitoral stimulation.
