Episode 2: “Least Likely”

All I have to say is HOLY TEMPER TANTRUM!! Niki is such a MESS! I see how the writers are trying to make the viewer think it was Niki that killed Jenny. (But I am still thinking maybe Jenny killed herself.) I haven’t seen a female freak out like that in a LONG time. It just makes me not like Niki even MORE than before…if that is possible. Is it me, or are they just playing up her craziness… (1) I seriously don’t remember her being that nuts.

LOL, the waffle thing with Jenny & Shane, too funny! I have to give Shane credit though, she is still trying to make amends. But I still don’t blame Jenny for not accepting it and giving her a cold shoulder. It IS a little uncomfortable when 2 friends fight like that. Helena was smart with not picking sides. How hilarious that TiBet did rock paper scissors to choose which table they sat at. (2) Then sent text messages to each other for updates on the conversation…LOL…too funny. And yet it is so sad. Nothing worse than the tension that is in the air when close friends fight, or when one hurts the other one.

UGH, this whole Lez Girls thing is SO FRUSTATING!! It ceases to amaze me how people can fuck something up so bad. “Get on board, Tina, train’s not going to lezzy town”…what an ASSHOLE! Who says that? And WTF does that mean anyways?? It is a lesbian film, about lesbian life and hardships….NOT another straight romance! I feel so bad for Tina, she has put so much time and effort into making this movie. And where is Adele?? When is she going to pop her evil head into the picture?

I am beginning to understand Tasha’s frustrations with Alice…she doesn’t SHUT UP! I love Alice to death, and she is super sweet, and absolutely ADORABLE….but she is being VERY controlling. And yet she doesn’t control what comes out of her mouth. She just speaks for Tasha every chance she gets, that therapist session (which was the original therapist for TiBet in the first season, BTW) was HORRIBLE! That stuff about how she makes more money and Tasha resents her for it. But the little promises they made to each other on the couch were cute. With the therapist saying they shouldn’t be together at all, I think that gives Tasha & Alice a common enemy, something they can both vent about ‘together’. I mean it obviously paid off, they went at it in the car like teenagers, it was so HOT! (3) I think the Pro/Con list scenes were great! How they manipulated a point system so it looked like more pros than cons…I have done that very same thing. I think they are the most realistic couple on the whole show. The fights they have, the make ups, the conversations, you can really relate to them. I also wonder how this whole Alice writing a screenplay will play out. You can tell by the look on Jenny’s face that she is NOT happy with this.

LOL, Joyce standing in Phyllis’ office butt naked, proposing…that was so cute. I am glad they are getting married… wonder what Molly will have to say about it, after everything her mom said to Shane at that art show. OBVIOUSLY this was shot pre-Prop 8…this would have never happened otherwise. This scene just made me angry all over again about that proposition passing! Damn Prop 8!

Am I the only one who was completely astounded that Max is pregnant?! NEVER saw that coming. NEVER. I feel so bad for him. It’s one thing to deal with being a F to M and KNOWING you have a vagina and hating it….but it’s another to have to deal with the most feminine thing of all…pregnancy. This has got to be excruciating for him. That scene with him at the clinic, and the lady behind that counter was giving him shit….I would have been mortified. But am proud of Max and how he handled the situation. His character has come SO FAR. But unfortunately that will not be the end of the trouble Max will face. People just hate what they don’t understand, and I have a feeling, he was some very tough times ahead of him with this pregnancy. That fight in the hallway, between Tom & Max, I was very disappointed in Tom for reacting like he did, but he redeemed himself towards the end. (4) Max needs all the support he can get right now. He can’t abort, he’s too far along….he is going to have to have this baby. Hopefully Tom sticks with him and supports him in whatever he decides to do. Personally, I think TiBet won’t be able to adopt the baby, and will take Max’s…but I am just speculating.

Now what did I say about Bette cheating? I knew it. She hasn’t cheated yet, but she was ENAMOURED with that girl (she looks much better now, than she did on Saved By the Bell!!) from college. I see a foreshadowing of BIG issues to come up. And yet Tina is still so understanding (should I even get into the dress she was wearing, yuck). It took like 10 mins for Bette to introduce Tina to her ‘friend’. (5) I would have been PISSED, and I know my girl would have been pissed too. Then she goes on to tell Tina how Bette was such a player in college and how she missed her opportunity to be with her….she is just setting things up so she can wedge herself in their relationship. Which, given Bette’s track record, should take much. I am amazed at hoe Tina reacts to all this. Does she really have that much faith in Bette’s fidelity? She was so calm at the house while they were talking about the tramp. Tina telling Bette she didn’t want to take away what feeds her, the need to be needed. It was weird….but the sex scene at the end was AMAZING! (if not a little too short for my liking) Damn they are hot together!

While we are on Tina & Bette…I am SO over Jodie. She really needs to go away. But I guess her character is necessary, there is always a scorned lover with a burning vengeance ready and willing to ruin someone’s life. We are just used to Shane being the one with the scorned lover…now it’s Bette. And it seems every time she turns around, there is Jodie. And Jodie’s new GF isn’t NREALY as hot as Bette…yuck!

And then Dillon had the nerve to show her face at the Hit Club….!! I was wondering what kind of storyline they were going to give Helena. There wasn’t much in the last episode besides some kind of head lock she must have learned in prison, and the naming of the club with Kit. Bringing back an old arch enemy only makes sense. Alice was hilarious in the scene in the club. She walked up to Dillon like a pit bull, so mad she was only spitting out little pieces of sentences, LOL! (6) Helena went over all calm and collected and talked to her, I was confused…she should have been freaking out. Dillon ruined EVERYTHING in Helena’s life! I think her going outside after her and freaking out on her was justified, in fact I would have been a bit less ‘lady like’…I just hope Helena doesn’t slip into her old habits and gives Dillon another whirl. I wouldn’t trust that one as far as I can throw her. All she sees is dollar signs in her eyes, and now Helena owns the club, and the Planet….smells like trouble. Speaking of the Planet, won’t it be hard for Kit to stay sober, I mean she IS running a flippin club and all….all that temptation to drink….

Ok, so onto the juiciest part of the whole episode. Shane & Jenny. I was right on point with saying Jenny is in love with Shane. I saw that coming for a long time. Jenny says, “Now I’m just like all those stupid girls”, the ways she says it is almost sad. Her face is sad, like she doesn’t want to love Shane, but can’t help it. At this point, I was actually breathless. (7) I have been wanting and waiting for Jenny & Shane to get together…but now that I see them together, I don’t know if Shane & Jenny getting together is the smartest idea. At least it’s Crazy dating Crazy. They DO know a lot about each other and what makes them tick. And they both are a bit neurotic. But how can you honestly put Jenny next to Carmen?!?! Jenny can’t hold a flame next to Carmen, and Shane left her gorgeous ass at the altar!! Not that there is anything wrong with Jenny, but CARMEN! COME ON NOW!! But, stranger things have happened on the L Word, maybe Jenny has just the right amount of crazy…who knows. But I will tell you, it is shaping up to be a CRAZY season.
