LOVE: Faith & Hope

Hot:

I came across a quote today. It’s deep… it’s sweet.

To those of you out there that really do give their all to someone, GOOD FOR YOU! You don’t hold back or hang on to those that have “gotten away.” You put yourself in your partner’s shoes and realize how you’d feel if it was being done to you. You’ve been there before. You’ve been hurt and don’t want anyone to go through that pain that you had to experience. Just the simple life of honesty, loyalty and communication is so much to ask for in the world of relationships today. Why?

Do we want to be treated poorly? No. So why would we want to do that to someone who loves us. Look, LOVE is about faith and hope. It’s like God. You can feel Him but you can’t see Him. You can only believe in Him. Well the same applies to LOVE. You can’t see it, it’s not tangible so why not just let go and believe in what you and your partner, your relationship could be. All the wonderful things you can do together. Supporting each other. Loving each other. Having that hope is what drives you to be a better person. Having that faith is what helps you both make it out of those ruts that every relationship has.

I have given myself to a couple. Some I gave myself too late and lost out on something that could have been AMAZING. Some I gave myself over too early. I could see the good in those that hurt me but just because I see it doesn’t mean that I’ll get it…. and I didn’t.

I wonder if there really is an equal for each of us out there. I wonder if I have an equal. Someone that believes in themselves and in love. Someone that is willing to give themselves over completely but yet someone who will match me, complete me. Someone with the same core values of friendship and family above all else.

So with that being said….. Here’s the quote I wanted to share.

“One day you will ask me which is more important? my life or yours? I will say mine and you will walk away not knowing that you are my life.” ~ Kahlil Gibran

I love how you described love. Its sooo true. I love how you can feel it, and know its there, but you can’t see it. You have to actually BELIEVE in it to feel it. I love that, because everything in life now is complete opposite. Every which way you turn there are documents, files, proof of this and that. The only proof of love is whats in your heart. :) Its your complete trust in yourself and your significant other…

This was very well written and i loved the quote. :)

Believe me there can be honesty, loyalty and communication once the love existing between two persons IS a true love, but the thing is such values might vary according to every person’s scale, I don’t know…just maybe. I tottaly agree with your “concept”of love as being about faith and hope,I did,and still consider love is based on such essences, ..but what scares me most is the thought that during our quest for that “equak”we might come across them and then, and for some reason when they’re gone,it could only means that they are gone for good…and we don’t get a second chance….but who am I to know?! Anyway I loved your quotation, great words from a great author that I happened to read some of his works. thank you for sharing this.

Lesbian Quotes

I don’t think of them as lesbian supervisors, I think of
them as county supervisors who happen to be lesbians.
A lesbian supervisor would have a very different job:
‘Hey you, cut those nails before you hurt somebody.’
    — Marga Gomez (on lesbians in local government)
