TLL Adult Review: Liberator Throe

tll-approved I want to thank the wonderful folks over at Early to Bed for sending me a Liberator Throe to review! I have wanted to review this for a ridiculously long time. It’s an amazing product. It’s a simple concept that is very well executed. There’s nothing bad that I can say about the Liberator Throe. Well, except perhaps for the fact that it arrived Friday morning before I had to go to work, and I had to work all day knowing it was at home waiting for me!

What is it?

To put it very bluntly, it’s a sex blanket. But it’s the best sex blanket you’ve ever dreamed of. It’s also a “Throe” and not a “throw,” which is amazing in itself, and quite clever. The Throe has a waterproof layer inside, and one side is purple shag and the other is satin. Knowing myself, I imagine I’ll get more use out of the satin in the summertime when the coolness will feel welcome, but right now while there’s still a chill in the air and the shag side is so soft and wonderful. There’s no describing how amazingly soft it is. I just rolled around on it for a bit after I got it, and it’s just so luxurious and sexy.

Why do I need one?

You need one if you have sex with yourself or others. You need one if things sometimes get wet or messy. You need one if you like having sex on the sofa, on the floor, over the table, in a tent, or on a bed you plan to sleep in after. I honestly can’t imagine going back to not having one of these. As soon as I learned that these Throes existed in the world, I felt that the surfaces I had sex on were infinitely lesser because I was aware there could be a Throe underneath me preventing my wet spots. I was angry at wet spots, because I knew they didn’t need to exist. The Liberator Throe eliminates wet spots! Over at Early to Bed, they tested the blanket by pouring 1/3 cup water onto the blanket and four hours later, it hadn’t even absorbed into the top layer, and rubbing it in didn’t cause the other side to get wet, either. Very impressive. My only complaint, and it’s little, is that the blanket makes soft crinkle sounds, but I find it easy to ignore and WELL worth it for what the product does.

Should I buy this or that toy I’m lusting after?

If you’re going to buy one thing to make sexy time better, this is it. I’m not lying. It will make whatever you’re doing better, hands down, and there’s no learning curves or differing tastes, in my opinion. Choose a color you like, and you will like the Throe. Who would want to have a wet spot? No one, that’s who. If you like sleeping on dry sheets after you make the sex, you WILL like a Throe. Luckily, they come in a variety of colors to match your decor. Over at Early to Bed, the Liberator Throe is available in purple shag but if you contact them they can order other colors for you. The Liberator Throe comes in purple, red, black, blue, tan, white tiger and leopard, and is available in shag and also microfiber, according to the Liberator website. The Liberator Throe measures 5′ x 6′ and is machine washable, and it’s made of 100% genuine polyester with nylon interior barrier.
