Words are a big part of my world. Writing has been a part of my life since I learned my way around sentence structure. With all of that proper stuff mastered and forgotten, I write a personal blog, A Brown Girl, and a little fiction.

I came up with the idea of Midtown about a year ago. The story takes place in Atlanta, GA. A city I often refer to as the gayest city in the south. Close to downtown, Midtown is the part of the city where you will see rainbow flags hanging off every other house, bars advertising drag shows and an over abundance of same sex couples holding hands while walking down the street. Every event that is worth being tagged LGBT happens in Midtown.

The perfect setting to a story about lesbians, right? Add an intimate circle of friends, cheating girlfriends, and friends that become lovers and you will have enough dyke drama to keep you entertained every Tuesday on TLL.

I used to live in Midtown and I miss it, though I reckon it’s gone through a bit of changin in the past dozen or so years.
