Midtown Part 2

midtown-part-2
Hot:

midtown1Brie Allen made quick work of the walk from the house on Argonne Ave to the store. She wanted to get out of the chaos starting at the house. There was already a small gathering of tipsy people occupying their living room. Hopefully, this would not be an indication of how future nights would be. She arrived on the steps of the store, just as Ed was securing the front door.

“Aw, our own little security guard to walk us home…” Ki teased.

“Nobody is scared of yall’s little asses,” Ed said as she towered over both of them.

“My ass is not little!” Brie exclaimed. Brie was Jamaican and had held on to her accent. The sound of her voice always surprised people, not only because of the pronunciation of her words, but from the volume. Her voice was loud. It carried even when she made attempts to whisper.

“It sure ain’t,” Ki cackled. Ki used broken English to identify herself as being closely tied to the black community. She wouldn’t admit it, but Ed had witnessed a quick change in her speech when necessary. Like when she spoke to her parents.

Brie’s bottom was the biggest part of her body. Small waisted, small chested, her bottom was how she gained attention.

“How yall feelin bout tonight?” They set a slow pace along the busy sidewalks.

“Yo, I feel good as hell. A straight up bachelor pad. Ho’s here, there and everywhere…” Ki and Brie bumped fists before looking at Ed. “Ok, with the honeymooners up at the top of the stairs.” She rolled her eyes. “All we’re missin is Ash. Then this little ménage would be complete.”

“We had some good as times back FAMU. You remember how everyone thought we were all sleeping together?”

“Yeah, they were just hatin on how how close we was.”

“We did do a lot of layin up on each other though. The guys though yall were the biggest pimps for fuckin both me and Ash.”

“Yeah, they didn’t know that you were the pimp and Ash was straight.” They were laughing so loud, they could be heard from inside the house.

“You remember the plan?” Taylor asked Dae just before the trio entered.

“Yeah, girl, you know I got you.” Dae confirmed. She moved away from Taylor to speak with one of the other employees.

Tonight was a housewarming of sorts. A gathering of friends of the new housemates and store employees all coming together to celebrate the move and the successful completion of another work week. The group was eccentric. They looked as though they shouldn’t all know each other, but this is what happens when mutual friends decide to party together. There were open minded straight people, very clean cut business men, people covered in ink and piercings, green hair, low fades. Every group was represented.

The noise coming from the house increased once the trio entered the main living space. There were hugs and laughter. And everyone begged for a tour. This house had monopolized plenty of conversations between the friends. Purchased 3 months before, it had taken this long for the renovations to be complete. With 5 people living there, everyone had different needs and wants that needed to be accommodated.

The house was narrow, but 3 levels and a basement gave them enough living space so that no one would feel crowded. The basement gave them space for their individual hobbies.

Dae tapped Ed on the shoulder, “You know about cars, right? Mine is making this weird noise. It just started today. I’m scared it might break down on the way home…” Dae scrunched up her face.

“Let’s go look at it before it gets too late,” Ed located a flashlight before leaving the party behind them.

“I’m parked down there,” Dae pointed to the end of the street.

“Just down there,” Ed laughed. “I’m glad I haven’t had more to drink or you might be carrying me back.” The walk there was quiet considering neither one of the pair were real talkers. They both walked while making references to the night’s starry sky. They finally made it to Dae’s car, a small sedan that was older than Dae, Ed asked for her keys.

“Damn, I think Taylor has them. I’ll run back and get them…” Dae started to walk away.

“No, I can’t have you walking the streets in the dark alone…” Dae could hear the irritation in Ed’s voice and felt a little guilty. This was the part of the plan she had come up with on her own. She was tired of Taylor constantly using her so she could do her dirt. She didn’t deserve it and neither did Ed.

They made it back to house faster than they both expected. Ed went to the fridge for a beer and noticed Taylor’s absence. “Where is Taylor?” Ed asked one of the girls close by.

“Who’s Taylor?”

“The white girl. The blonde.”

“Oh, she went up stairs with the redhead.” With her beer in hand, Ed went looking for her girlfriend so she could get Dae’s keys. She was ready to get this done and over with so she spend the rest of the evening relaxing. She was ready for all of these extra people to leave her house too. She wasn’t known for her hospitality. Soon she would start kicking people out.

She reached the top floor and heard noises. Low moans. Soft grunts. She stuck her head inside the door way and saw Taylor’s head positioned between Heather’s legs on their bed. From the noisy slurping sounds that echoed through the room, Heather was enjoying every minute of it.

Ed turned quietly and made her way back downstairs. When she made it back to the main floor, she stopped at the bottom of the stairs and drained her bottle.

“What’s up, bro? Where is Taylor?” Ki asked. Ed looked around the room and found that she knew everyone in the room.

“Upstairs. Fucking. Heather.” Ed’s words came out slowly. Making each word its own sentence.

Evan was the first one to respond. “Oh, hell no. Not in this mutha fuckin house. That bitch is bout to catch a beat down. Let me take off my earrings!” His boyfriend for the night rubbed his leg.

“Well, at least you know now.” Brie walked over to Ed and wrapped her arms around her. “You got to see it with your own eyes.”

“Yeah, man, I want her to talk her way outta this one.” Ki chimed in, reflecting back on how many times Taylor had explained her questionable actions. “I bet that shit looked hot though. They both fine. To be white girls.” Brie threw a bottle top at Ki.

Taylor noisily bounced her way to the bottom of the stairs. She stood there for a few seconds waiting for someone to acknowledge her presence. She was so full of herself, she didn’t notice that no one met her eyes.

“Baby, did you get Dae’s car taken care of?” She wrapped her arms around Ed. Ed held her body stiff.

“Where did Dae go?” Ed asked.

“She left just after you went upstairs.”

“Are your bags still in your car?” Ed asked Taylor.

“Yep,” she walked across the room to her purse and tossed her keys to Ed.

“Grab them for me, will ya?” She went to the kitchen and grabbed a beer. Ed started removing keys from Taylor’s key ring. “Whatcha doin?”

“You don’t need these anymore.”

“I’m confused.”

“You didn’t look confused when you were licking Heather’s pussy a few minutes ago.” She looked Taylor directly into her blue eyes. “Actually, you looked like you knew exactly what you were doing.”

“But, baby…”

“You can go. Take your little redheaded toy with you too. I don’t expect to see either one of you at the store tomorrow. Or ever.” Ed turned her back to her and walked out of the room.

Taylor stood in the middle of the living space with her keys dangling from her hand. The remaining occupants struggled to hold in their laughter. Evan stood up and walked over to her. “If you need help, I can use my size twelves to catapult your ass to your car…” He put his hands on his hips and glared at her.

Taylor moved quickly to the front door. Heather emerged from a position in the corner where she had been cowering. The room burst out in laughter.

“Does that mean her ass is gone?” Ed’s head appeared around a corner. She walked into the room smiling. “I feel free. I love her. I can’t even front like I don’t, but I deserve better than this.” Ed finished another beer. “Damn, that means I have to do her work until I find a replacement. Son. Of. A. Bi-“

“Don’t even sweat it, dude. I know somebody. Gimme a couple of days. They’re perfect for the job.” Ki walked over and bumped fists with Ed. “I gotchu!”
