“Imagine Me & You” Lesbian Movie Film Review 5 Stars
Watch the Trailer on You Tube “Imagine Me & You Trailer”
Imagine Me & You” – Five Stars all around. Ok let’s just say that when this movie started I thought I was going to be sorely disappointed with the outcome but at movie end I had tears welling up in my eyes for many different reasons. READ ON.
Relationships:
The Girls – Played by Piper Perabo (Rachel) and Lena Headey (Luce). The relationship begins innocently enough except I knew from the first glance that they were going to be together. Oddly enough it was when Rachel is walking down the aisle to be married that they first exchanged this glance. The florist for the wedding Luce, caught her eye and then a budding friendship ensues, in which both Rachel and her husband become dear friends of Luce. The chemistry is perfect and is believable.
The Married Couple – Played by Piper Perabo (Rachel) and Matthew Goode (Heck) this couple is so adorable together, and I just love the character Heck. He is concerned abo
ut their relationship when he realizes that something is going on with his new bride. And he trys to make it better, he is very attentive. He doesn’t even think that it could be another person. When she finally tells him about his lover Luce (well they hadn’t had sex yet, only a short make out session), she also tells him that the relationship with Luce is over. But he takes it upon himself to say that he simply does not want to stand in the way of her happiness, and he wants her to follow her heart. (What do you think she does)
The Parents – Her parents are played by Celia Imrie (Tess) and Anthony Head (Ned), the
mother is oddly funny, but in a way that makes you glad that she is on the big screen and not at your house. The father is a timid shy man who is easily manipulated by his overbearing wife. You would think that when Rachel tells her parents, by accident provoked by a scene where Heck leaves Rachel and says he can’t stand in her way. She comes back to explain her situation to her parents and her father says that if his wife had fallen in love as she had, that he loves her mother as Heck loves Rachel and he could never stand in her way. So the race is on for Rachel to get Luce back! With her parents and Luce’s mother in tow, they are off to find her true love.
Film Quality :
This is a movie that has the quality of any movie you might find coming out of Hollywood. The very first scene they take you from the front of a Rolls Royce covered with flowers, and pan up to the church. Then there is a camera angle when you watch Rachel walk down the aisle and then it pans to her view of Luce. You will not be disappointed with the Film Quality, and the flow of the movie.
My Rating :
This movie all around is just perfect, the only issue I might every have with it is the moral dilemma of being a cheater. But that was easily subsided by the fact that they didn’t go all the way and Rachel was always trying to stop herself. And she came clean with Heck. So A Big Old 5 for this movie. This is a definite buy and an absolute rent!!!!
CHEERS!!!!

Agree, Imagine me and you was quite watchable. Finally lesbian interest movies are making it into the main stream?
