Midtown Part 5

After their bar tab easily surpassed $100, the foursome made their way home after 3am. None of them could walk a straight line, but Ki and Brie were the worst off. Ed and navigated the drunken pair to Brie’s room.

“Just leave me here. I just want to sleep.” Ki fell across the burgundy comforter adorning Brie’s wrought iron bed. Brie collapsed next to her. “It’s hot in here. Why’s it so freakin’ hot?” Ki started fumbling with her buttons. Ed went to help her.

“Are you hot too?” Ed asked Brie as she noticed her struggling with pulling her top over her head. Once Ed and Ash had them both to their underwear they stumbled up to the top floor.

Brie managed to climb underneath the comforter, forcing Ki with her. If Brie had been sober, she would have noticed Ki’s hand stroking her hip and her breath on her neck. She would have noticed how their legs seemed to tangle together automatically, like a couple that had been sleeping together for years.

She did notice when Ki rolled away from her quickly, but not quick enough…

On the third floor, Ash changed in the bathroom, Ki disrobed to her boxers and tank. She pulled back the covers on the big bed, snuggling her face into one of the down pillows. She closed her eyes and prayed that the room would stop spinning around her. She thought if she could lie extremely still with her eyes closed, the dizzy feeling would pass.

When Ash exited the bathroom, that’s how she found her. She paused near the edge of the bed.

“Ed?” She stood quietly waiting for an answer. When there was none, she climbed into bed next to her. Assuming Ed was sleeping; Ash scooted so close to Ed, she could feel her body heat and inhale her scent, now marred by the smell of cigarette smoke from the club. She lifted her head up, to look at the peacefulness in Ed’s face. She couldn’t help herself, she took one finger and traced Ed’s hairline.

Ed loved the way Ash’s finger felt against her skin. It was warm; comforting. Her stomach was settling, but she felt her heart was racing. She realized Ash thought she was sleeping when she didn’t answer her, so she made a slight moan while stretching and adjusting in the bed. Adjusting so that her body was snug against Ash’s body. She felt her body stiffen, then relax. Ed reached behind her pulling Ash’s arm around her.

A few hours later, Ed grudgingly rolled out of bed, having first to detangle herself from Ash’s arms. She gave into her urge and placed a kiss on Ash’s forehead before getting ready to go to her store. Ash resisted the urge to smile. The skin that Ed had touched with her lips burned for hours after she had gone.

It was late afternoon before Ki and Brie began to stir. Ki woke first, realizing she wasn’t in her own bed, she started to panic. Her eyes started to focus on her surroundings, noticing the burgundy comforter, and the wavy hair spilled onto the pillow next to her. Oh, I’m in Brie’s room. Whew! Ki thought, until she realized she was completely naked.

Oh, shit! Oh, shit! Her brain screamed. Another peek under the covers revealed that Brie was naked too. Ki slowly slid out of bed with ease, praying that Brie wouldn’t wake up. She found her pants and shirt folded and placed in the seat of a chair. Her underwear was missing. Fuuu…

Ki didn’t get to finish her thought.

“You sneaking out on me?” Brie was smiling. She stretched, making a sound that resembled a kitten purring. Ki watched as more creamy yellow skin started to reveal itself during the stretch. Ki felt her face turn red. She needed to get out of there. Immediately.

“Yeah…I…uh…gotta go.” Ki stammered and quickly slammed the door behind her. Ki clumsily made her way downstairs, finding Ash curled up on their tan sectional sofa eyes focused on the flat screen mounted to the wall in front of her.

“It’s about time you woke up! I’ve been lonely…” Ki collapsed in a messy pile next to her. “What is wrong with you? Besides needing a shower.” Ash wrinkled her nose in disgust. “You smell like a brewery.”

Ki made a big production of looking around the room before whispering, “Brie and I slept together last night.”

“I know. Ed and I put you in the bed together.”

“Did you strip us naked too?” Ash’s eyes grew into big saucers. “See? I knew it!” Ki shook her head as if trying to shake her memory free. Her black hair flew with the movement. “I slept with Brie and I don’t even remember it.” She laid her head in her hand.

“Wait. You want to remember it? I thought that would be better forgotten.”

“Have you seen Brie? Who would want to forget sex with someone that looks like that?” Ki attempted to cover. It was no secret that Brie was built like a goddess, but it was a secret that Ki wanted Brie.

“You sure it’s not more than that?”

“More than what?” Brie came down the stairs, hair still wet from the shower. “I thought you had to go somewhere? The way you rushed out of my room, I thought you were late for something…”

“I am, I am.” Ki got up quickly practically jogging towards the stairs. She took them two at a time until she disappeared up the staircase.

“What is wrong with her today? She sure is acting weird.” Brie took the seat that Ki had previously occupied.

“Yall had sex last night?”

“Who? Us? Oh, hell no…” Brie started laughing. “Is that what she thinks?”

“Didn’t you wake up naked?”

“Ki threw up on both of us last night. She didn’t notice that there weren’t any sheets on the bed? Ki is such a sloppy drunk. I couldn’t move to go find her more clothes. The room was spinning too much. I just stripped us both naked, stripped the bed and laid back down.” Brie collapsed into a fit of giggles.
