TLL Adult Review: Tristan’s Anniversary Plug

tll-approvedI’d like to thank Babeland for giving me the opportunity to try out the Anniversary Edition of the Tristan Taormino butt plug. For those who don’t know, Tristan Taormino is a biggie in the adult film world, and also very focused on sexual education. I’m currently reading her book, The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women, and it’s really a fantastic read. Back to the toy… this plug is big. I stupidly thought it would be just fine. It’s not my first plug, I like this sort of thing, I’ll be fine. Right? Wrong. My eyes are bigger than my ass as far as this plug goes. I’m sure that with some more patience and easing up to it, I can someday manage to use this plug, but until then it’s just going to sit in my toybox and be gorgeous and taunt me.

This Tristan plug is silicone so you can boil it or scare your room mates by putting it in the dish washer. It’s a gorgeous swirling midnight purple and black color, and has what I imagine must be a really awesome shape, with a wide head and long narrow (comparatively) neck. It’s 3″ by 1-3/4″. This doesn’t seem big, maybe, but go get a ruler, and you’ll see that it is.

As of the date of posting this review, I have not successfully used this toy. I would reccomend this toy to people who are most definitely not new to anal play, and who might enjoy a larger toy. The widest part of the head is wider than my favorite strap-on compatible dildo, which I can comfortably get into my ass with some warm up. Try as I might, this plug just isn’t working for me right now, and that’s okay. Not everything works for everyone, and this may just be the step up you’re looking for. The shape is intuitive, and I think it might be ideal, considering my experience with past plugs of various shapes (randomly bulbous and round with a short neck), I think the bulb and long neck could go a long ways to helping a person keep the toy in. Check it out for yourself, or go shop for a different butt plug at Babeland!
