A big thank you to Babeland for letting me review Hard Love and How to Fuck in High Heels. This is a double feature, one is Hard Love and the other is… you get the idea. Also, it was the AVN Winner Best All-Girl Feature in 2001.

Hard Love

Hard Love is the first feature, and is a plot driven story of dyke drama galore. The film follows Jaz, a hot butch dyke who has recently broken up with sexy corporate femme, Renee. Both are having sex with others, but Jackie has been asked to help Renee. pack her apartment for an upcoming move, causing an awkward scene when Jackie catches Renee. in the act. This spurs a fight and some very realistic dyke drama. I know, no one needs more dyke drama, but this is actually very well played and touching. You feel, watching this scene, as though there’s real history between these two, that there is a lot more going on that we don’t know. I liked this, a lot. Oh, yeah, and there’s also sex after the argument, because it’s a porno, afterall. And the sex is hot. I always think sex is hotter when there’s chemistry between people, and boy is there ever chemistry between these two.

How to Fuck in High Heels

How to Fuck in High Heels is based on a performance piece by Shar Rednour. It’s also filmed as like a behind the scenes feature, with people interviewing Jackie and Shar and the other stars of the film with often entertaining results, with questions like “What is your femme ideal?” and answers like, “My ideal? …Mommy.” Funny, entertaining and erotic all at once, How to Fuck in High Heels corrects the notion that it’s all about rolling around on the bed with heels in the air, but rather keeping those heels planted firmly on the ground.

Is there sex? Of course there is. Femme on femme strap-on sex. Yes, please! What I really like about it is the image of power it exudes, of a feminine woman able to strap a dick on and take control over her partner without losing that femininity. There’s also some butch-bottom blow jobs and foot and shoe worship, and while foot worship is not my thing, the actors were really into it and that’s what makes a scene. Yes, enthusiasm is a very good thing.

The interviews are mixed up with footage of Shar’s stage performance and sex scenes for a sometimes disjointed but always interesting result. My favorite part? The shoes. The seriously shiny glittery high heeled platforms, the strappy heeled sandals, and all of the fantastic costumes. Most often, the strapons match the outfits, whether it’s a red dong and red leather strap with a sequin bra or a camoflage print dong and matching bra, I’m a huge fan of accessorizing your dildos to your sex outfits. I think this should be a new rule.

Is this something you should see? Yes, it is. Even if just for the shoes and the real, intense, hard orgasms these dykes have. Also, for the curly haired brunette, I believe her name is Josephine, with the medusa mermaid-type creature on her thigh. She’s so incredibly hot, and I’m a sucker for mermaidy tats, having one myself. In her scene with Shar, there’s some just incredibly hot dirty talk. I wish I could screen cap the dirty talk. I guess you’ll just have to check it out for yourself.

I want to note that the dildos used in How to Fuck in High Heels (and also Hard Love) are all made by Vixen Creations, which make 100% silicone dildos. I’m also glad to see this film featuring safe sex in both features. This should be in all films, really. Condoms are used on the dildos if they’ll be used both anally and vaginally, and the actors wear gloves then they’re going to be fingering someone, and dental dams for oral!
