Five Things That Make Me Happy

5. Finding an undergrad major that has a plethora of opportunities to learn. Learn about life, people, history, subjectivity, and who the fuck is in charge of defining the boundaries of objectivity. I’ve been taking my time trying to find my way and feel blessed to be able to major in Women and Gender Studies.

4. My friends. They keep me inspired. they keep me  in check. They are supportive and loving and silly and smart. Some are gay, some are straight. some have been around so long it doesn’t make a difference who they’re attracted to, as long as they’ve found some happiness too. They bring new music and ideas and perspectives. They bring chocolate :) They bring books :) they bring memories with their hugs

3. My family. immediate and extended. many friends fit here too.. they accept the quirks, the mistakes i’ve made, my dreams, and my gayness. LOVE IT!! love sharing meals. love opening up and explaining myself and feeling connected to an awesome group of people.

2. being able to drive out into the country side and see the millions of stars light years away. keeps things in perspective. every moment becomes precious.

1. women. the diversity of personalities, histories, etc. motivated women. intelligent (emotionally and intellectually). open hearted. sillies and sweeties. bad ass bitches. mostly, the potential for mutual discovery.

(ps. have you seen the puppies dressed as kitties skit (i think it’s from the tonight show)?? i’m not obsessed with cute cuddly creatures, but damn this makes me want ten puppies)
