embrace

embrace
Hot:

warm reassuring arms circled my waist

hands wove together and rested on the small of my back

pulling me closer

my breath caught in my throat

her face nuzzled my neck

lips brushing across my earlobe and down my jaw

uncertainty flurried across my mind

all the trust this once held was gone

but i wanted it anyway

my arms slid around her neck

and i leaned my body against hers,

sturdy safe strong

lulled into a sense of security

i nestled my head on her shoulder

and then slowly her arms pulled away

embrace broken

i awkwardly went on my way
