TLL Adult Review: Tantus Curve

tll-approvedBack when I got the B-Bomb from Tantus, I also got the Curve, and I guess maybe I was more excited about the B-Bomb because it took me a little longer to work up some good commentary for the Curve. The Curve is 100% ultra-premium platinum silicone. This is a dildo suitable for strapping on, and the thing that really makes it shine, aside from its ever so slightly marbled amethyst color, is the fact that it curves upwards. This curve is both ideal for seeking your g-spot and also allows for a note of realism. While this is not a realistic dildo (it isn’t every day you see a real live purple penis), the upwards curve gives it a bit of the feel of an actual erect penis. Also, the angle makes it easier to strap on and use comfortably and easily without having to constantly reposition it.

Safety

The Curve, and all Tantus Silicone toys, are hypoallergenic, pthalate free, odorless, boilable, bleachable, non-toxic and body safe. People often try an inexpensive dildo or other sex toy, have a bad reaction to the junk chemicals that are in it to soften the plastic material, throw the offending toy out and think they can’t use any sex toys ever. This is the very reason that the folks at Tantus started making toys; to provide quality products that were body safe.

Right on the box, it says: Not only are Tantus Toy shapes anatomically targeted, the material won’t cause irritations, rashes, or infections thus providing long lasting pleasure. Just today I had a lesbian couple come into the adult shop I work in and ask if toys come in different materials, and so I took some time to educate them on materials. In talking to them, I discovered that one partner suffered a serious rash from a jelly toy and had to go to the doctor. That rash lasted three months. Three. Months. With a vaginal rash. I told them all about silicone, pointed them to the silicone toys in our store, and suggested if they get the chance, to look into getting something from Tantus – as our store currently fails by carrying no toys that can be strapped on that are made of body safe materials.

Thoughts

The Curve is awesome. It’s a good length and girth, it’s on the larger size but it’s not going to be too big for most people, at 1 3/8″ wide by 6″ long, due to its smooth silicone finish that gets nice and slick with natural or added lubrication. It works well in a 1 1/2″ O-Ring of your favorite harness, or used solo for masturbatory purposes. I actually find that it works really well for solo masturbation because it curves to press against my g-spot with zero effort on my part, and it’s easy to get some clitoral stimulation in there as well. The base is nice and solid to hold on to. There are ridges on the underside and I can’t be sure how aware of them I am during use, but I know that it’s perfect to hit what needs to be hit. What I really like is that it’s not too long, and some dildos are too long. Some extra length can be good in strap on cocks, especially if you’re a bigger girl and need more length to work with, but in an angled piece made to direct stimulation to the g-spot, this length is pretty spot on.
