Giving Thanks

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I’d like to take a moment to give thanks, too. I’d like to say a big thank you for the gorgeous, amazing women all around us. I’d like to give everyone a little eye candy by sharing with you lovely readers thirteen amazing women I am especially thankful for. These are all rather famous women, some more than others, but all awesome in their own way, whom I lust after whenever I see them.
I have attempted to rank them, most to least favorite, though all positions are approximate. The total number is 13 because it’s a Fibonacci number (my new thing) and I didn’t feel like dealing with a massive list of 21 or limiting myself to just 8. Enjoy!
Isabella Rossellini
She will always top every list I make. It’s a combination of her seductive accent, her gorgeous features and her playful personality. Brilliant, passionate, and talented, I love her. She could read the phone book, and I would listen to every word. And, to top it off, she has done gender fuckary photo shoots. I found a lot of glamorous photos here, but I chose the one below because it makes me want her so much more than when she’s all smokey eyes and opera coats. Curious as to what she’s up to now? She’s making Green Porno over at Sundance. It’s mostly SFW — more science channel chic than anything.
Julie Andrews
I have an unhealthy obsession with Julie Andrews, particularly when she portrays Victor(ia) Grant in Victor/Victoria. What’s it about? Well, if you’re unfamiliar, it’s about an out of work singer who falls into a fabulous idea by pretending to be a man who is a female impersonator, and the double drag and singing are completely fantastic. Rachel Brice
Rachel Brice is pretty much synonymous with tribal style belly dancing, and for good reason. This woman’s body is serpentine. I love the music she dances to, with heavy, funky beats and techno influences. I want her. Watch her dancing here. If you liked that, watch this one too. You will thank me later.
Florence Welch
Of Florence and the Machine, I’m in love with Florence. She’s ginger, she’s hot, and her bangs are cute. You should hear her sing! Check out the song that made me fall for her, Drumming Song.
Olivia Wilde
Aside from House’s snark, the single best reason to watch House is for Olivia Wilde. It hardly matters that her character is bisexual. She could be playing a nun and I’d be tuning in each week.
Billie Piper
What can I say? She traveled with Doctor Who and stars in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. You cannot ask for more than that. Well, maybe you can. That thing she does with her mouth? It melts my brain.
Sara Ramirez
The only reason I still watch Grey’s Anatomy is that Sara Ramirez’s character is now hyper lesbionic. I’m liking the direction her character is going. Meow.
Sasha Grey
Often referred to as America’s hardcore media darling, Sasha Grey is the next biggest thing in mainstream porn. She’s ridiculously hot, and while this is not my favorite image of her, it is one of the few I found of her wearing clothes, so I guess we’ll just have to compromise.
Shakira
Okay, so I have a thing for girls who know how to move their hips. Rachel Brice is one, Shakira is (obviously) another fine example. I also love her wild, curly hair.
April Flores
An adult film star who totally rocks my socks. We need more super sexy, totally banging women with voluptuous curves to spice up sex on screen. Word up to Fatty D!
Tilda Swinton
I first fell in love with her watching Narnia, and she is the only reason to watch Constantine. I love her harshness. I wish she would be mean to me.
Rachel Maddow
Yes, please. Seriously. Is it hot in here?
Drew Barrymore
I have a crush on Drew Barrymore. I’m not sure when it started, but Charlies Angels only made it gather steam and the recent Whip It just rekindled the fire.
